Once thrown, the cup is marked with a spacing tool and each impression is hand pressed. A drop of wax resist is placed in each impression after the bisque firing to prevent glaze from filling it. This type of work makes me feel like a grandmother knitting away for the new born.

Rainbow design is a 35 stone pattern consisting of the 7 colors of the rainbow with 5 stones for each color.
Each vessel is hand marked and pressed to allow for the setting of the rhinestones.
Each rhinestone is hand set and glued one at a time after the final firing.
The vessel is clear glazed and gets it’s color from the New Zealand Halloysite Porcelain.
Dimensions are approximately 3”W x 5”H and hold 14 oz. Small dark spots may appear in the clay due to mining impurities.
